I've come to grow fond of my city (Brooklyn), and i think there's a lot of good things about america. i don't think it's the best country in the world simply because i have yet to see the rest of it.
having said that, the fact that we in the US still don't have universal healthcare is fucking depressing, even more so considering we could EASILY afford it, 1% of what this country spends on defense should do the trick.

Alas this is not about politics, my best friend Maya has run into an emergency dental situation, she's one of the most talented artists i know and like many of us freelancers in the US she does not have health or dental care. hell i'm still waiting to get enough money to go take care of a decaying tooth i have.

in any case my friend is having an art sale to gather money to pay for the procedure so i recommend everybody go and check out her tumblr.
